No. 18 Clemson beats No. 8 SMU 34-31 on last-second field goal for ACC title, berth in the CF

SMU coach on CFP hopes: 'It'd be criminal if we're not in'   SMU coach Rhett Lashlee makes the case for his team to get into the College Football Playoff after the Mustangs fell to Clemson in the ACC title game. CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- —  sat in his car for more than hour last Saturday crying following Clemson's loss to rival South Carolina, figuring his team's chances of reaching the College Football Playoff were over. My how things can change. A few hours later Klubnik found himself celebrating and hugging his roommates after Syracuse upset Miami, knocking the Hurricanes out of the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game and giving Clemson another shot. The Tigers took full advantage. Klubnik threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns,  Nolan Hauser kicked a 56-yard field goal as time expired and No. 18 Clemson beat No. 8 SMU 34-31 on Saturday night for the ACC title to secure a spot in the CFP and position itself for a first-r...

TikTok indicated that it plans to appeal the ruling to the Supreme Court. “The Supreme Court has an established historical record of protecting Americans’ right to free speech, and we expect they will do just that on this important constitutional issue,” TikTok spokesperson Michael Hughes said in a statement Friday.      However, the company suggested it has not budged on its earlier stance   that it would not separate from ByteDance.   US TikTok users are again worried they could lose access to the app after a court upheld a law that will force TikTok to be spun-off from its Chinese parent company or face a ban in the United States.     TikTok’s US-based users could have only a few more weeks to enjoy scrolling through their For You Page before the app is banned in the country starting on January 19, 2025. A US appeals court on Friday   that requires TikTok to be sold off from its Chinese parent company ByteDance or face a ban, dealing a major blow to the social media platform that’s used by more than 170 million Americans. nder the law, app stores could face major fines if they continue to host TikTok following the deadline, if it’s not sold. For users who already have the app downloaded, that likely means they could continue to use it for a while but would not be able to receive updates, which would eventually make it buggy and potentially useless.
